Quick question.....where did Deore II fit in the Shimano heirachy?

In between DX and XT or 'lower'...???

Personally, never heard of Deore II :? To me, BITD, it was cr*per, cr*p, average, LX, DX, XT and Holy Grail cant afford it XTR.

AFAIK it was an XT (M732) version 2 kind of thing but I don't know for sure....hence the question.

The part number hidden by the cables in the picture is SL-MT62 (which is a 1992 DX part code AFAIK)...but as you can see they are boxed as Deore II
