decal application - the right way?

Just waiting for my Proflex decals to arrive from Gil, and was wondering from other members here who have had them off Gil, do you use soapy water and a squeegee to apply them, or do you put them straight on and hope for the best? I do a lot of decal applications in work (panel beating) and use the soapy water method, but not sure on the decal adhesive that Gil uses.

Gils decals are very easy to apply....just line them up and stick them down. Don't know the technical term but they are wet-fix...as opposed to the Litespeed ones I'm doing at the moment which a dry-fix and require loads of rubbing to produce heat.

Aye- they're actually thin stickers......... I cut the carrier sheets to size and square, then used low tack masking tape on the frame to line them up with........attache the middle line of the sticker to the mid line of the frame tube first, then smooth it on with a soft cloth over the carrier sheet.

Glad you asked this, my decals are comming soon from Gil too.

Nothing worse than a wonky sticker.

Hope it goes well.

Guys,

You will all be pleased to know that all my decals now come with full fitting instructions :)

Bit of a backlog from last week, no thanks to the UCI event

All outstanding orders should be going out this week :)
