Here we have my Dean Scout Ti frame for sale, it's in absolute minty condition apart from standard cable rub. I bought this frame NOS less than 2 years ago and has been a commuter for me.
Frame is dated as mid nineties from DEAN.

Surely later than that? No canti bridge, Dean dropout rather than bullet-ended stays, so must be late 90s? I don't know when they stopped being made by TiSport, nor when they went over to wishbone stays, but in that window obviously.

Great-looking frame. Sadly I can't afford it, but would be interested to know more about its history. NOS until two years ago??

Have sent pics to DEAN and that's the info they have told me!
Also there is no serial number on the frame.
It's not been taken off!!! the BB shell is perfect,i enquired about this earlier today and the reply has just come in from DEAN as im typing this reply!!! and i quote

"THe reason why there is no serial number on the bottom bracket is that we must of not put one on. It sounds like the frame is from the early 90's

I'm sorry, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but it seems that this 'Rich Running Bull' is just bullshitting you. You have established that the frame is a Scout, and the Scout first went on sale in 1999. Your frame certainly looks very similar to the Scout featured in a magazine test dated 2001, reproduced on the Dean website.

If you want to know why they might bullshit you, just go and search on mtbr. I've never read anything like those threads! I'm sure your frame is great, and as I say if I could afford it I would be interested in buying it, but I wouldn't pay any attention to what Rich Running Bull has told you.

If anything, a date around 2000 makes the frame more usable, as the fairly sizeable bottom bracket drop that it has with that 96 Judy makes it look as though it was probably designed for a longer fork - maybe an 80mm SID?
