Dawes I.D

Hi.

I've never been an MTB fan (BMX & Road Bikes usually), but in the last few months I've been taking a little more interest in some of the older stuff.

Anyway, I've spotted somebody riding around local on a very battered and unloved looking Dawes, it was parked up in a bike shed and what got my attention is its got "Reynolds" written all over it. The main tubes are 531, the forks are 653 and the handle bars are 753. It has no model name on it, just the Dawes badge on the head tube. Shimano U brakes (Although has all the mounting points for canti's), twist grip gears and not sure on the whole group set as its covered in much and dust etc...

Its Green and has Reynolds in large writing across the top tube.

I was going to ask him if he wants to sell it, but not sure what its worth..or what it actually is?

Can anyone shed any light on it? (I'd get a picture, but it might look a bit suspect if I'm stood outside work taking photo's of somebody elses bike)

Cheers

There's a thread on The Edge here:

Thanks for the reply...

Its not an edge looking at the photos.

The one in question has a lugged frame, and I had a quick look today and it has a suntor group set.

Cheers
Phil
