I picked this up a while back & have been trying to find some information on it but have come up blank
It's been hiding in the lock up waiting to come home & since I made a little space today I thought I'd get started on it (despite still not finishing my AMP)
First things first, those Rst's need to go, I have some RC35's that'll do nicely, Or so I think, steerers too short (after I sold the nice long one off my clockwork for a shorter one a month or so back ) not a problem I'm drop the steerer out of the Rst's, or maybe I wont as it's shimed to fit a 1 1/8" crown & it's thicker than 1" at the bottom ffs! Anyone got a long one inch steerer? I'll take threaded or un threaded!
It doesn't really want for much else, I'm thinking of swapping out the bars & stem for some silver titanium items I have, then a change of tyres & I think we'll be about there

I wasn't convinced at first as there is another decal behind the headtube decal, I peeled the front one back & it's just an older Russell decal

Great score there - must be pretty much unique, or at least one of very few Dave Russell mtbs and in nice condition too. Always liked Dave Russell road bikes - probably as I lived for a while near Slough where he was based. Good luck with the build, I have black Euclid (I think) brake levers that would be a small upgrade. Let me know if you're interested.
