Dave Quinn 753 Just look at the rear mech cable.

I'd been watching this all week. No way is that a hand built Dave Quinn - it is a bike that Dave Quinn may say he built and that might be what he told the owner but this is 100% SBDU (Nottingham). From approx 1988 and fits in with the story that it was used for a couple of hundred miles and put away in 1989. It looks immaculate and also has some nice kit, Record C chainset, GEL280 rims, Look Pedals, Record Hubs, Suntour Superbe Pro with some nice Cinelli Pista bars too! I can't see, but probably Record C BB and Headset too.

It's a lovely 753R Services des Courses (full Cinelli lug set), Shimano vertical ends, and if it is like my other Nottingham SBDU frames it will be 130 OLN on the rear so will be happy with old or new gearing.

And the best thing is that the Dave Quinn Transfers don't look as if they have clear coat over them so it shouldn't be too much work to turn this back into a Raleigh.

I thought it was a Raleigh too ......one £500 bid LOL.

Too small for me being a gangly six footer :)
