Dave Lloyd Frame Register

Re:

Cheers Neil. Don's pictures above are giving me enthusiasm, luckily I have contacts who can store things for me when I find something.

Re:

Neil,
That book is a wonderful find and looks like you’ve helped out lots of people with it, amazing.
I was wondering if you had any info on my frame with number DD94866 please? Also has 60 on the BB but that doesn’t appear to correspond with size. Many thanks and BW. Tom

Re:

Hi Tom.

You are right, it was a lucky find and I am delighted to be able to give people a bit more information on their frames.

LL94866 is a 800TRI frame originally made for WHEELS (a shop?) and it is made from Reynolds 653.

I don't know what the 60 or 09 refers to, but custom frames and all that, could have been something WHEELS wanted.

Re:

That’s amazing, thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. Sorry yes it’s LL not DD, just a weird print on it. Very helpful and thanks again. Safe cycles. T

Re:

The LL always looks odd as I believe is is just an inverted 77.

Also the numbers usually have a 'generous' coating of paint on them.

Re:

Can someone please help id this frame I found?

Re:

It's an Allsop softride of some sort, but the lug on the bottom bracket seems to indicate it is not a Dave Lloyd frame, not unless it has an LL frame number.

Re:

I took it to a local bike shop n he reckons the 1 is the make number and he saw remenets of a model number. I wanna know if its worth a squid? $$??
