so in theory, most of us/the opinions of us are being based on a london cyclist

Didn't you know that the whole country revolves round london

I was thinking along the lines that there are actually alot of other subjects that divide public opinion more than cyclists. I don't remember cycling be mentioned in any of the pre-election campaigns last year.

just today near me, i women was killed on her bike riding down a dual carriageway.......no idea why someone would want to do that.
To get from A to B?

A dual carriageway is often more direct, flatter, easier to navigate, and has better lines of sight and fewer junctions than alternative routes on minor roads. They often have better surfaces as well. The higher speeds can be intimidating, but there are plenty of occasions when I'd rather take a dual carriageway than a busy minor road.

well on my ride home tonight, in 4 miles i saw 8 cyclists.

7 were riding on the pavement.

8 were adults

1 was riding on the road but ran a red light and got knocked off his bike

i was an hour late home from work as i stopped to make sure he was ok. broken this bleeding that. driver was livid. i dont blame him.

bloody cyclists. pun intended.

well that pretty much says it all

although when im on the road, not often, i obey all the rules known to me

i guess you break the rules and you will get broken, but not often the case
