Cyclist knocked off bike by car passenger

none of this surprises me at all!

If you ride often enough you see it all, i get a lot of people throwing things out of the window as they drive by, drinks cans etc the worst one i had was some chavs in a Saxo driving towards me threw a coin that wizzed past my ear and i mean i actually heard it 'wizz'! Thing was the chavs were so thick that they were driving 'loops' around the local streets so i quickly rode home got my car and waited near where they did it untill they drove past...then followed them home!!!!!!....let just say sometimes karma needs a helping hand!!!

That vid is class!!...

Car drivers that I've experienced (as a cyclist, motorcyclist and motorist) do not generally give enough room to the cyclist.

It was bad 15 years ago.. worse now.. cars and faster, drivers seem younger and there's so many more of both on the roads. And they all appear to think they own it (when they don't.. coz I do)..

Almost cycling related :!:
I live in gt.yarmouth and we have a street called king street and it has been almost taken over by immigrants  A good friend of mine has an antiques/jewellers shop on this street and has been there for a long time.He has a flat above his shop which he rents out to a rather tough little chap who is a bit like live in security.
Last week some immigrants were taking the p... out of him riding his bike "can't you afford a car / maybe he can't even drive etc. etc." They also undone his rear qr while he was in a shop across the road which caused much laughter for them and much pain for him.
This has been going on for weeks so he had had enough he went up to his flat and promptly came down with a baseball bat and smashed all the windows in there three cars and said "Now you can't drive either"
Just deserts methinks

should have done the lights too :P

someone died in kent form this type of thing!
harsh! its says in that thread that cyclists who havent experienced this dont really sympathise. i do! i always get people cutting me up and stuff and such im becoming a much more aggresive rider, i often play chicken with cars now, i think to myself, it wouldnt go so well with their insurance!. i know i shouldnt really be at this stage but there is only so much cyclists can take. ive said it before and i will say it again, i dont drive (yet) and can honestly say i could drive better than at leats 60% of drivers
is this right? no
the rules need changing
something someone said on here that has stuck with me is 'people think its their right to drive, its not, its a privilege'
i am ranting now due to someone cutting up the mrs on our ride home, she is not as confident as me or as aggresive and it doesnt help when she is constantly being cut up by drivers who cant take corners properly or signal properly or maneuver proeperly, just generally drive!
