Cycle computer question

I want to use my cordless cycle computer on the back wheel of my bike on the turbo trainer. Problem is the signal only seems to travel as far as half way along the top tube :roll:
I've tried new batteries but still the same
Is this usual?
If it is i'll use my corded one that has an extra long lead

yep pretty usual. could try wrapping some copper cable round the handle bar mount. this works sometimes.
