I have for a long while really liked the look of the frames that these guys produce - Nothing fancy but hand crafted.

I had looked at a On-One Ti 456 but have a penchant for a steel frame...

Anyone looked at these or have any other options?

One of my ex-team riders has a T45 and it's bombproof, good bikes, very agile and a lovely company to deal with behind the brand itself. I don't think you could go wrong with a Curtis. Bear in mind in order to keep up with the competition they have created a small diffusion Taiwan-made frame too, so I'd avoid that one and spend the cash for a proper British-made Curtis frame.

My mate has frame number 1 of the XC style and he loves it. They started out making jump frames and another mate Jim Davidge rode for them as a sponsored rider for quite a while. He works in Bike City in Wells, Somerset. He's a top man and I'm sure he would gladly give you the low down. :)

What can I say, made in Somerset like all of life's best things.

This is Chris on his T45 at Hamsterley Forest, the photo is taken from a team article that was published in MBUK back in 2001.
