So like I'm building an aluminium mountain tallbike and need a few spare bits.
Here it is:
I know, well spotted; it's a thing of beauty. Top notch. Here it is again:
I've got a gas mig so the welding's gonna happen (I'm no alu welding pro, but not that bad welding al, confident it'll work out ok, testing welds have been solid). Obvs because it's a stupid thing to do, I can't justify using top-end components so it's unlikely to be XTR -spec, Chris King headset, carbon parts etc. But it does need to work!
So please, from the bottom of my heart to the bottom of your heart, could anybody spare some of the following components:
- Headset (either aheadset or headest, 1 1/8" ish)
- A V brake & lever? Got a spare you could sling me? Otherwise it's going to be fixie braking...
- Maybe a suspension fork? It'd be great to get a retro triple-crown on there but I'm not choosy - Manitou... Girvin... Rock Shox ... Marzocchi? Anything.
Any components that I could pick up from Bristol, for free ish, would be particularly amazing!
