Apparently Danger Mouse is returning to our screens, on the BBC this time around - like me, no doubt a good few RBers grew up with the original, which was one of those kids' shows that the adults could also enjoy too as the script writing was pretty sharp and the jokes corny, but in a good way. Which leaves me wondering how the 2014 version will pan out...

(a) Same high standard, like it had never been away (e.g. the recent Open All Hours revival with David Jason* in the lead role).
(b) Different, but still good, such as Simon Nye/David Nobbs's re-working of Reggie Perrin played by Martin Clunes.
(c) Oh dear. Best left well alone, like that American re-hashing of The Prisoner** with Ian McKellen in it.

*DM connection no.1 - Sir David was of course the voice of Danger Mouse, Mk.1.
**DM connection no.2 - the title was a pun on previous ITV-screened Patrick McGoohan vehicle Danger Man.

WOW, awesomeness, going to definitely see that with the young ones for their thoughts on one of my all time favourite childhood animations
