Crud Bung

I had one from MBUK too.

Someone stole it. Unfortunately my bike was attached to it at the time.

Tried the Stonehenge Spring (green) Ale last month in Bristol. Poor

How about that for a first post!

P.S. Still got a crud bung shoved up my Project2

Mine was attached to a Z2 i sold a few years ago
Best small useful thing i've seen released in the bike market
It did a good job [preventing rust and crud build up inside the steerer]and was cheap as chips

Who would've though that the Crud Bung would be so attractive to the criminal fraternity? :P

Yeah.

They were so desperate to make off with mine they didn't bother to remove the bike from it before they had it away.

(I can laugh now.........just!)

I was earlier reading an old road bike maintenance book in a charity shop, trying to decide whether I could afford £1.50 on yet another book and in the book I saw a diagram where it said to mallet a wooden bung up between the fork legs to stop road crap and moisture getting in. So with that, the Mister Crud product is nothing new.

I suppose mudguards or an old 2-litre plastic bottle zip tied to the downtube wasn't new but it didn't stop Mr Crud making his living from Crud Catcher/Guard etc.

I started this thread just wondering whether these freebies which I never saw anywhere else were still in use. I see they are! Champagne cork sounds better though because you have to drink the contents of the bottle otherwise the wine goes flat
