Crown race ??

Is this interchangable from fork to fork ?? Both forks have a 1 1/8" steerer.

most of the time, yes. Sometimes they fit loosely on the second fork, which is a problem.

Just be careful not to damage the race when removing and installing it.

Thanks sancho, i have removed the crown gently from the old forks just thought id ask on here before i try and make it fit on the new forks.

A ring spanner and a hammer

Ideally, copper pipe as it's soft enough not to damage the race, but PVC will work in a pinch.

Most yes, but not ALL, not even on same diameter steerers! If want to be certain, measure the shoulder on which the race sits.

the stabilizing bar on my trailer allows 1" forks to fit in perfectly, then whack it wiv 'ammer.
