Crown race question

Do crown races come in different sizes to suit different bearing size?
I fitted a Kona threaded headset which has 1/4 bearings in the bottom. Should a standard crown race fit or do I need one specific for 1/4 bearings ?

if it has 1/4 bearings then i assume it's one of the original Kona headsets, the "control centre" maybe? these headsets do have obviously their own crown race, it is a more specific than others because of the bearing size, basically you can't just run any old crown race, that said the chances of finding just the crown race is low, you may have to replace the lower assembly at least with a matched assembly.
