It would have gone well with my wee man's bike helmet but it wouldn't survive a day at his school, despite complaints from many parents any kid's bike locked up gets climbed on sat on and jumped on at play times.

Sorry chaps ,on edge at present due to an enlarged lymph gland in my throat which has been worrying me recently.

Those guards look a bit flat Dave, anything thrown off the tyres is likely to be thrown sideways so really need to be a compound curve.
Anything from now on on this project will have to wait till ive had medical. Besides to do a finished guard i really need some machinery to machine the timber down, a finished guard cant be made from veneers, has to be laminated from solid.
