I wouldn't necessarily say ALL parts but there are definitely some that are WAY WAY overrated. Like all that CNC'd purply stuff, ALL (with no exception) cantilever brakes and old forks. I don't know if it is funny or rather sad that there are people who still claim that modern forks, suspension frames and brakes are "by default" inferior to their early 90's American handbuilt steed.
It is either that this people refuse to accept the present or that they ride very slow/don't ride at all. Or they are heavily into S&M, because otherwise I wouldn't imagine how you can "rip" on a trail with a 19 year old beast with a 150 mm stem, silly tires and brakes that take you half a day to set up. Now, take my '08 Enduro on the same trail and tell me it's harder and less fun! Come on, do it!
