Cracking one off (Magura-R)

Another one bites the dust... Tartybikes to the rescue again!

I am going to discs next time I think. Sick of this. Here's one, doe...

My 1997 Privateer doesn't have disc tabs on the seatstays - do you think I could chop out the section of stay from a f**ked frame that does have a tab, and then cut away the back half of this bit to bond/weld it on top of my own stay, to give me a tab? Like wrapping the new tabbed tube around my existing tube if you will.

I don't like the look of the aftermarket disc adapaters.

Front fork is a Bomber and already has tabs for that.

As usual, lasted just beyond 12 months...

I tightened them no more than I would anything else on a bar, it's only ever these that have snapped. I am going to be paranoid fitting the spare.

It's scrap,.
I'd write a nice letter as said above, at just over twelve months old I bet they will replace it.

Quick question... Are your new bars fatter than the old ones/ fatter than the clamp is designed for ?

Knock loose if the term for tightening clamps. wont move in use but rotate when you come off and knock them.
