Re:
I guess it's actually a wise marketing move. It's a lot like naming your rock band "Free Beer" or "Barenaked Ladies" just to get people to show up to your concert. I know I'd feel compelled to attend a concert if the marquis simply stated "FREE BEER and BARENAKED LADIES".

On a similar note, the guys on my brother's soccer team decided to name the team "
OFF", as opposed to the Devils or the Wildcats or the Gut Stompers, etc., and each one of the team members had a first name "nickname", too, like "Step" as in "Step Off", "Piss" as in "Piss Off", "Ticked" as in "Ticked Off", "F---" as in "F--- Off", etc. ("Face-", "Jerk-", "Jack-", "Whack-", and on and on).
Their reasoning was that, if they ever lost a game, they figured that there was VERY little chance that anyone on the winning team was going to barge into the local club and loudly and boastfully proclaim "Hey, everybody! Guess what? We Beat Off!"
I'm eagerly awaiting Cove's next release, the "Sloppy Knobber".

I can see the magazine ads now:
"Haven't you always wanted a......"
"I'll bet you'd appreciate a.........."
"Now's your chance to get a........"
