I'm trying to get a box sent over from the UK but it about 5cm larger than the maximum.... 135 as opposed to 130... Do you think they'll check that much if I just say its 130??

Thats what I was thinking - I've asked the seller to see if he can trim it down by 5cm, its only a frame and wheels, but they're in a full bike box...

yeah im sure that could be trimmed down, normally means cutting out the square edge on one side and then just joing 2 remaining flaps :?

I've had massive boxes delivered by Parcel Force that have arrived with big yellow stickers on saying "TOO BIG" (in a more long-winded way). But clearly they don't care that much, as they did arrive ;)

By the time they deliver it it may well be under the original size.

So then you could say its oversized to compensate

Is that you saying parcelmonkey are rubbish? Or just couriers?

I've been using senditnow.com and using thier site they seem to be more concerened about the weight than the size..weird considering they are part of parcel force who are renowed for being anal about the size

Personally i can't see 5cm standing out to the amount it would be noticed
