Lovely bike there mate. I recognized the unusual rear brake cable routing.
Is there a reason for the cable to go above the bar?

Thanks for all the replies, I've got lots of inspiration for this beauty now. BITD I had a 3rd hand Pathfinder (Gold splash 8) ) and really liked the long reach.
I dont know what's going on with rear brake cable, I've now rerouted it back under bars. I bought the bike off a bird who said she'd been everywhere on it and had looked after it well.
Would love to get some DX on it all round, MF bit stingy on groupsets 400LX for a £400 bike IIRC.
The wheels are is motion :D literally

Strong well built frames of quality, you can always upgrade the groupset.

Nice.....had the same idea myself and just picked myself up an 89 Courier Comp off the bay (the black/red splatter one).

Loved these bitd

Didn't see that on the bay pal, been looking for weeks. You got some pictures up?

Wasn't much intrest on eBay as it was a 22" (gate!) but completely original - needs a lot of work, though. Only cost me 35 sheets, so quite happy. I'm gonna start a build thread soon.

I'm glad these are getting saved

They were great value BITD and Even better value now at £30 - £100

The frames are brilliant and just look how well some of them have survived!

Considering nutters like me bought them that's nothing short of miraculous

If I get one it'll have to be the '89 brown/red crackle cos that's what I had in days of yore
