Couple of Ebay finds for the Missus

Not sure why you'd want a heavier, less stiff mixte frame in preference to a conventional diamond if your wife has no mobility issues and doesn't feel the need to sit in the corner of the pub/kitchen with a sweet sherry..

The answer to that is experience: not all ladies like a diamond frame/ drop handlebars/clip in pedals etc. There's a reason for the development of women specific design (WSD)/ geometry, but would agree its personal choice/ best fit etc. Not sure where a sherry fits in either..

Re:

Wasn't the mixte frame designed as such to allow riding in skirts, rather than geometry ??

LGF, I didn't know Peugeot had adopted standard threadings as early as that. It's always put me off owning one. Good to know, cheers

Re:

Anyway, to get back to the point: fit is important. Here's a pic of the first iteration I built for my wife, and the second to get the fit right for her. The second is not to my aesthetic taste, but that came secondary.

An "L Turbo" saddle? Never knew there was such a thing. That might be the next thing to try on the Bianchi... How wide?

Well spotted: the Lady Turbo measures 2cm wider and 4cm shorter than it’s male equivalent. Actual width is 160mm measuring underneath the saddle.
