I have got a bolt seized good and solid in a redline bottom bracket. It is a bike which has left in a damp garage for a long time. The other side came out ok.
Any advice on what to do would be great.
Thanks

spray some 'anti seize' compound in and leave over night? of if all else fails then drill

I'd give it a week of regular dosing with antiseize. PlusGas is the best, WD40 a distant second.

Lay the bike on its side so that the stuff can pool and flow in, dose it morning and night.

if the axle is hollow then fill it from the other side with plusgas,as above, plusgas, not wd40......

thanks guys. i'll give plusgas a whirl. i have never used before. Is it strong smelling? it's just i will have to use it in the house and leave it to soak in my cellar which doesnt have a door....dont want to use if it means a really strong smell wafting up through the house

I can't remember exactly and it's too cold/dark to go out to the Shed on a sniffing expedition ;) but from memory it's less offensive than WD-40 or GT-85.

Put the other axle end in the vice and use a big shifter to try to first tighten the bolt then undo it,you'd be surprised how often that works

Bit of heat on it will help..make sure there's not loads of GT85 on it though before you get the blow torch out.

If that fails it's drilling time
