I could be so tempted by this - If it was the curved top-tube model and not the straight one.

I doubt it.
It looks too shiny for nickel, which is a bit more muted and subtle.

Cooks and other BMX companies were heavily into chrome plating (ranging from triple-plated show chrome on some brands to nasty, flaky crap on others) but I haven't heard of nickel-plated ones.

Anyone?
