On the top off my head it would say:
Cook Bros. originates as BMX company, BMX parts go for way more than retro mtb parts, which could explain some of the more opportunistic price setting by certain ebay sellers. Also lenght of the crank arms is a factor, shorter and longer ones should fetch less money than normal ones (171/181mm vs 176mm)
The real early ones with come with non milled out backs are known as Dogbones, then came the RSR's, RSRs are available in compact drive and non compact drive. Dogbones and RSR have non detachable spiders.
E, F and E2 types are later models and should be easier to get hold of which would explain lower prices. Also spiders are detachable.
And then there are the variants by Cooks and CQP which look very similar to the CBR´s.
