Cook Bros post V frame!

At what point does a single component specify what frame you buy!!!
I have a dilemma ..... I own a cook bros seat post in 27.2
It has been reanodised to match my sotto voce headset so in black with the decals just slightly visible ..nice
All the frames that I'm currently looking at seem to be 26.8 post size
Should I stick with the pin or move on with some pretty nice frames that I have been offered or will it be another case of I wish I hadn't and held on?

Re:

How about putting it in the for sale thread as a 'trade' and see if you can get a 26.8 offering that is nice enough to make the decision for you?

Re:

I have considered this option but we all know how often one of these comes up let alone the 'right' size!
Maybe I should post in the wanted adds :
Frame req for seat post, must be a 27.2 Yeti or a heavily shimmed yo :D

Sell the seatpost and put the funds towards a frame you want.
This is Retrobike and not Retroseatpost after all

It's okay to build a bike around a component. I had a set of Campy Delta road brakes. Built a De Rosa around them then found that the brakes were more show than go (or stop) so replaced them with Record brakes.

Then I thought "it would be nice to build a bike around those Deltas, just something to cruise with..." and so it began again.

There are plenty of 27.2 frames out there, and you really need another project.
