Confused front mech question

Can you please give me a hand?
I am confused.

I am toying with what to do re mechs etc etc.

I have a Shimano Deore DX FD-M650
So, I am trying to work out what size it fits.

But the numbers confuse me:

This states that there is 28.6mm Clamp; 31.8mm Clamp;
Adjustable Clip 28mm - 33mm

All good so far.
Now, on the inside of the actual mech it states 1 1/8 now that is 28.6.
I am thinking that this might be the adjustable clip that the above mentions.

But on the outside of the jubilee clip type band itself, it states 34.9

So, is this the 28-33 but is 28.6 - 34.9? or something?

It's a 34.9 endlass band, so gives a bit more leeway on the 34.9 size.
But someone has fitted it to the small mech. Treat it as 34.9, the curve might/might not be different to the frame for the actual mech part.
