Condor mystery

I will get round to phoning them myself but in the meantime....
Would you expect a 1980's Condor frame to have a frame number?
I have a genuine frame (pantographed fork crown, BB shell and seat-stay ends) but it has no frame number. There is a story behind it that links it directly to them but for the moment I will keep you all in suspense, as it were, until I get some feedback.

Back door, personal and show frames often didn't have numbers. My Bob Jackson has no number for that reason.
