'condom' jibe

Re:

Incredibly lacking in tact to say that openly in the age of Social Media but same thing happens at most machismo sporting events, whether its F1, Pro Golf, Athletics etc

Never seen any other sports have this problem with the girls. Perhaps just these men's issues with the girls?

I think the balance of men doing the sport and women doing the eye candy is about right.

Women's sport is sub standard garbage.

A genuine question, and not really meant to catch you out as such, but I'm intrigued.

Why do you regularly post negative news items regarding the sport of road cycling? Can't seem to remember one on mountain biking, nor any other sport for that matter.

Is there something you don't like about road cycling?

Not saying these should be swept under the carpet, but why just road cycling?

Back on topic, and like it or not, I know a prominent 1980's cyclist who managed several shags from podium girls at the Milk Race. He said they hung around like groupies in the hotels they were put up in.

Re:

C'Mon Jimmy saville 1980's ?? JS rode the 1952 (??) tour of Britain.

Just shows how much the prolific posters on here know about proper cycle sport

I'm not naming him - he's not involved in cycling any more and is having a successful career outside of cycling

They do. Most of them. Just not so indiscrete/better at not doing it in public.

Re:

Crass, not class. Bakelants' jibe kinda says all you need to know. In the 3rd millennium, women's only involvement in the sport as eye candy on the podium really doesn't add anything.

PS: If you've ever seen the vintage footage of JS as a cyclist, you'll be needing mind bleach.
