Community payback does it work...

The hedge opposite us hasn't been cut in years, so much so that 2 cars can no longer pass in front of our house. Today, there is a young community payback lad wearing the bright high vis yielding a petrol trimmer like a sword and hacking into the hedge like he's mowing down some baddies in a computer game... blimey he made a mess of the hedge I hope he's not finished yet!

So does community payback work? kind of...

I guess like most things it will work for some, be a waste of time for others..

I doubt the council will give a mofo, it's a hedge owned by the Church. I'm not bothered by it, I just found it rather amusing. I was going to film the cretin in action and post it up

Round here, the council do all their hedge trimming by tractor, with a bleedin great flail attached to an arm.. Makes a right mess.

And it doesnt help the kids/crims either.Try teaching them a trade or at least skills they can use in their environment to better themselves rather than stupid projects.
