Comments Very Welcome on Schwinn Sprint bikes

Would really like hear as many thoughts as possible about Schwinn Sprint bikes please, bad, very bad, down right rude, OR good - excellent, all are welcome, the more the merrier.

I have acquired 1 after seeing many people rave about them, but have no knowledge whatsoever about them other than stuff I have read on schwinn fan sites.

For example "how the hell are the cranks on this 1 held on/bolted on/cotterpinned on ?" (see pic 5) I'm absolutely miffed.

The all elusive question for me "how are these cranks held/bolted/cottered on"

Saw quite a few of these in NYC when I was there last year. Was loving the filleted welds (or brazing or whatever they did).

the cranks are Ashtabula where they are a single piece crank and BB, you post it through the BB shell.
