All depends what you want - but at that price and the condition that it seems to be in, it's a bit of a no- brainer if you want to build a quick race bike.

Loads of really nice frames coming up on here lately - I can't understand why any of them hang around as long as they do.....

I agree, it is a tough one. I am moving from a SUNN Exact (I am building my own Supernormal ATM) that I've been riding for 10 years.
In this case, the Commencal is the logical continuation has I have a blind faith in Max Commencal, the man who created Sunn and moved on in 2000 to re-invent Sunn under his own name.

For me the Supernormal is a retro bike already. They have now stopped making it for 2010, as they only do Carbon XC hardtail frames.

Funny as to get this one I would have to part with my Exact .

I am waiting on a custom frame which is taking a lot longer than anticipated . so the Commencal would be the in between bike as i have a buyer for the Sunn .

but :

it would cost me £50 to £60 to get the bike running and I am trying to save as much as possible for the custom .
I dont have time to swap bits over
and I am not sure i want to ride an alminium after having spent so long a nice steel one
