Hi all, for sale I have my old MTB which is currently taking up space in the garage and needs to go to a home for someone else to get some fun out of it!
It's a 2012 Commencal Meta SL, and the spec remains unchanged from the spec at the time (except the tyres, naturally). Please see the first picture for the spec.
Good points:
Frame, wheels, forks, rear shock, pivots all working as they should, but would benefit from a service / once over.
Bad points:
Both calipers seized, and it needs someone more mechanically minded than me to free them up and get them working. These are incredible brakes when on point.
The rear mech doesn't shift nicely at all, it's slow; it shifts - but can be stubborn. This could also be shifter related, I am unsure where the issue lies. But again needs someone with the necessary skills to get it going again.
Now, at the time this bike retailed at £3450, but based on the above and someone taking it on as a bit of a project (perhaps for one of your nippers for Christmas?), I would gladly let someone take it for say £450 ono. If I am way off on price (I have no idea what the 2nd hand market is like for a bike like this), please do let me know and I am open to offers.
I am based in Southampton and with the size etc. of the bike I would prefer someone to come and collect - and anyone interested would definitely benefit from coming to see the bike first.
