since i bought the jones it has been an interesting experience of a very much 'marmite' bike.

i have had a whirlwind year, many bikes have come and gone, with the main ones i wanted as a kid. tried and tested them all. glad i did too.

amongst these i was always in search of either a custom bike, made for me or a bike that i would keep for years and either use for everything, or one to keep for those nice rides, on my own or on trips out.

the jones is the closest i have had experienced, so i guess id kick myself if i sold it. ok it wasnt made for me directly, but its almost to the spec id of gone for if i had ordered from jeff.

after all the BS it has stirred, either from people who hate jeff's bikes, and think they are overpriced gimics, to those who love them, i have never owned a bike that has gained so much interest or notority!

as a result, i 'think' i may end up keeping it, as im in the situation, where i dont need to sell it, id probaly yearn for it back if it was not here. the only other bike that i miss is my moots to be honest.

so will have some thinking to do. i cant bear to break it, i just need to break my routine of getting rid off perfectly decent bikes after not owning them for more than 5 minutes!

any thoughts?

Not have ridden this beautiful bike rich,, I cannot comment on its ride , however, having seen the reviews and read various comments from different people , I would say its the perfect do it all bike,,beautifully made, unique and will be a collectors piece for sure in years to come,,, a true mountain bike..

You either gel with a bike or you dont.. its a feeling that is hard to describe,,, but only you will know if its right or not ..

Sell... dont sel... l hmmm.. if it was mine I'd have to have a damm good reason to part with it..

;)

when i sit back and think......its ideal, and what i wanted from a bike.

- i dont need suspension. so ticks that box.

- love the way Ti rides, even better than steel for me.

- riding position the best for me, comfortable all day.

- looks awesome and not something you see every day.

there are no reasons why i should sell it i guess, like the moots and others, i had no real reason and have no idea why i let them go.

that bike puts a smile on your face. you are in a grat position where you sdont necessarily need to sell it.

keep it dude.

if you are truly bored of it send it to me for a couple of weeks, absense making the heart grow fonder and all that!

 i dream of this bike still, so i guess i need to sleep on it for a few nights to sort my head out.

id love to be able to gel with a bike or two for years, i have owned a trek for 11yrs from new and that still gets used, though it now lives at my brothers as his hack bike.

if i still have and love the jones in 11yrs id be over the moon, guess i need to keep a bike to actually get that way. a bike to take with me through lifes journey

The way you speak about it, and if it were me in your shoes, I'd be keeping it unless I absolutely had to get rid . .

Hell.. from your posts about it I was
a) Shocked to see it up for sale and
2) Gutted I couldn't buy it.

:? yeah, i cant find a fault with it, and im not selling to fund another bike so thats another thing i guess.
