Coloured single speed chain

Thinking about a getting red one :shock:

What's the consensus on these? Does the colour come off? Is it worth bothering? Is it a fashon faux pas? Will it make me more attractive to women?

Only gold chains make you more attractive to women.

I stopped running one on my Surly, cos I couldn't ride without ladies chucking themselves at me. Anyway, red chains are for loosers and BMXers.

Spend a weekend with a chain tool, a few pots of Humbrol modelling paint and some weenie paint brushes. Split the chain in to as many pieces as possible then paint all the plates different colours then re-assemble the chain. It'll look amazing.

I would like a coloured chain. Never have the money left to buy one though as always buy the chain last on a build and have run out of cash

It would be 'dirty' again after one ride?

I'll stay a lazy cyclist thanks and replace my chain every year or so instead.
Besides, surely that weakens the links?
