Colnago or No Go?

the Sport had slotted BB drain (at least some did), the Export is a Super geometry with blank stay caps and a "non-specified" Columbus tubeset (AELLE?). Neither had those stay caps.

I know and those don't have clubs on head lugs, atleast from what I've seen. I was just throwing out "could be" Colnago models. It's just hard to find good photos on lower end Colnagos.

This 70s Sport seems to have that type of seat stay caps, but I could be wrong as the pictures are not that great.

So you must have noticed that the "generic" fork in his original sales photos now changed to an actual later '70s-early '80s Colnago fork.

If a seller quickly gets shirty, they've always got something to hide.

If you are meaning the "Sport" had an unadorned crown like the initial frame photo then I would agree (Colnago did not manufacture any "Sport" models inhouse). I do not know if those frames ever received a "Colnago" fork in later years (I have no idea how long it was made) or not since all the other Colnago models/variants had some version on the logo embellishing the crown ('cept Beppe & RdV, etc.).
It is just a weird combination of a "wannabe a Colnago" so why go to that trouble and leave so many obvious inconsistencies that make it impossible when taken as a whole for it to be considered an authentic frame to anyone with some knowledge of the brand or anyone who is willing to do a modicum of research comparing it to known examples.

I will say this, if it was for sale in my locale for $200 or less I'd buy it as an oddball fake; and with closer inspection hope the fork is authentic since they are actually worth $100-$200 (claims the fork has just been replated) even if the frame is rot (still appears to be decent if not for the excessive paint).

You can't rationalise idiocy.

They think they are cleverer than you, which is why they get p1ssy if you ask a few reasonable questions.
