Colnago Master Piu

Origo

Retro Newbie
HI everyone. New to the forum, but glad to be here. Began my build of this Colnago Master earlier this year, but advise on how to make it even better are very welcome.

I am in search of a new fork (as advertised in the wanted section), but if any suggestions to parts I´d love to hear.

For now it has a Campagnolo Record group, Fulcrum Quattro wheels.

Thanks in advance.

Looks very nice but is your seatpost backwards? And a drive side pic would better show the group. Cheers, Andy.

Cheers Andy. It was backward, I bought the frame and got it this way which kinda baffled me, I'll have a few more shots from the drive side.

Re:

Is that set up to your riding position?

If so, it's too small.

Other than spinning the seatpost, I wouldn't change a thing. Looks great as it is! Love the colourscheme, not seen it before 8)

What's wrong with the fork?

Actually, a pair of nice silver Campag Shamals would look even better. But it still looks ace as it is

Welcome to the forum

Hi Mike

Thanks for the compliments. I am fairly new to the bike thing, but have been going at it for about a year.

What would I do to change the riding position? Seat longer back, longer stem?

Re:

It looks very upright in the photo.

Turning the seatpost around with give a bit more stretch, and maybe drop the bars down a bit. I imagine there is some flex at the front when you ride out of the saddle.

But having said all that, set it up so it's comfortable for you

And enjoy riding it, first and foremost 8)

Great, thanks. Will look into it. Takes some time to get the bike right, have only had it out for 10 times or so. Here´s a picture of the riders side.

The fork has this little joyful fella, perhaps I should just ignore it. The frame itself is flawless.

Nice one!

I'd second the Shamals but then you'd be going with the flow, so keep it as is.

Seatpost position is a blasphemy. Though I see in the latest photo that it has been turned around. Though your saddle nose is now tipped downwards more than usual - not good for the knees in the long run.

Make sure your stem is not up over the max position too.

And to be completely anal - the tyres are not "aligned" with the valve stem the way they are "supposed" to .

I'd ignore the fork unless you're bathing in money.

Either way, more photos please!

Thanks for the input guys, will look into it in the morning.

Shamals are expensive as! Maybe next year.

If I went for a new fork, does any of you know how long the steer tube should be in a 15 cm. head tube?

Took a few more pics of it as it is now.

The steerer tube should be 42mm longer than the head tube for a Campagnolo 1 inch threaded headset.
IE, 192mm minimum length for the steerer tube
