Hi,

I Just picked up this nice C40 with the steel precisa fork. Good all round condition and looking to rebuild into something useable. I'm thinking either Shimano DA 7410. Or 10 speed Campag Record. Thoughts please.

Re:

Lovely looking frame but too new looking for 7400. 10s carbon titanium record would suit it in my opinion. I'm building up a Colnago mega master with this group atm.

Very Nice & like you I have a C40 Black & Gold Jobbie & I plumped for Campag Super Record 11 RS Groupset well some of it anyway.

Good luck on your build as C40's are lovely machines to ride :)

Thanks,

Sounds superb!

This is my second C40, I had an early Mapei version but was slightly too big
for me so sold it. I love the Lampre colour scheme and this C40 is the perfect size. Looking forward to building and riding it. Yes they have a superb ride, very comfortable yet stiff enough when you want to get the power down.

Re:

Wonderful!

If it were mine I wouldn't consider anything other than Dura Ace, as per the Lampre team. And get the team jersey to go with it!

Oh dear.

Finding 7403 at sensible prices is difficult, I know this from recent experience.

Still, it'll be worth it once it's done.
