COD modern warfare 3

Possibly me! Per-ordered it but not sure whether to go at midnight or pick it up the next day. Looking forward to it, previews look great!

C'mon lad time you grew up and bought battlefield 3 :P Cods for kids and girls

Ooooo should have put this in the bun fight thread.

I've fallen out with BF3. So far its cost me £40 for the game via origin (lets not talk about the download time) £125 for a new graphics card (ATI 6870...yes I know Im a dick for not buying Nvidia like I normally do) and £50 for a new PSU to run the new gfx card.

Finally get the game installed and I have huge sound problems with the certain aspects (up to 90% of game sound) drops out at certain times making the game very difficult to get along with. The game also crashes on fairly regular points on map changes.

Now considering I have played the BF series since the BF1942 wake demo back in 2002. Have been flown around europe and represented the UK playing the series it takes quite some to put me off.

So far I am looking forward to some COD single player fun next weekend.

Sorry to hear of your probs jerky I play ps3 so no hardware issues for me. I will say this for most of these games now tho the single player parts are more like an add on. Black ops was really weak and easy.

Agree with you, however the COD series is managed by two different developers, historically one has provided excellent single player content, the other has been pretty mediocre.

The new one is by the one thats been better so far.

Also I like COD for the single player, the multiplayers a little unimaginative.

The cod maps are a little small on multiplayer thats why i like battlefield you can do some proper sniping.

Im experiencing the same problems but im putting it down to the usual buggy EA releases, nothing out of the ordinary for the BF series  .
Give them time for all these issues to be reported and the patch built it will be ok im sure.
My bug bear about it is that i think they tried to construct it on bfbc2 but the size of BF2 and it just doesnt work, theyre 2 separate games that work very well in their own right but as a combination of the two then i dont think so :? Possible more like a bastardization than a happy marriage.

ill wait to see the you tube vids after the release of the new COD before i buy :?
In bf3's defence, some of the close quarter maps are pretty damn tight 8) 8)
