Clockwork/ lx bb size

I checked on sheldon brown size databse as it's easy to find (easily found if you type in to google sheldon brown bottom

and Oranges where 68mm shells just from memory. though if someone else can double check this

yup my '91 clockwork is a 68mm BB

axle length is dependant on the cranks you use, and the chain line you're trying to achieve

I looked on the sheldon brown site and it said 113-118, but didn't know which would be best. As it turned out, the local shop only had 113 and for 8.99 thought I'd just use that.

Just done a 28 mile charity ride with no problems

cheers for the advice

so one day after asking a 28mile charity ride was used to test it out, I like :D

The shortest length is used since you have a skinny frame using a 28.6 front mech band size. Which will give it the best shifting over it's correct 47.5 chainline. It also reduced your Q-factor-whatsit-wife-tail-thing.
But any of the lengths will have worked work and I doubt you'll have noticed anything other than altering the front mech shifting and stops a little.

which charity got the cash ?

It was the macmillan castles bike ride. I've signed up for the London to Brighton off road ride in September, so this was just to see if the clockwork was going to be up to it
