the ones i have sound similar to your description cherrybomb.. but arent riveted! held together by chainring bolts and a spacer between the middle and outer rings

My bad. Them's the ones.
I could have sworn the rings were riveted until I saw that diagram, but I remember now. (The rings on the set I have went South ages ago).

Those crank arms look a little too 'lived in' for what I was planning but it could be the photos, are those sratches around the peddle threads deep. (Can you feel them if you run your nail across them?)/
