If those STX cranks are the ones with riveted one piece rings so that the cranks only have mounts for a granny ring and not middle and big do you have any better photos?

If you mean the one that looks like this then it does not look the same from what I can see in the pic

thats handy cherrybomb because theyre actually in bits at the moment as i took them apart and thoroughly cleaned them , will post pics tonight of the crank arms.

No. I mean the original STX cranks. They look like standard 5 arm compacts, but the chainrings are a riveted unit and attach to the arms with, what I can only describe as the granny ring mounting points although the arm doesn't have any other mounting holes.

the ones i have sound similar to your description cherrybomb.. but arent riveted! held together by chainring bolts and a spacer between the middle and outer rings
