Peter Carter
Retro Newbie
Hello,
For sale: a Claude Butler Spectre. Brought 2 years ago and little used since then. i imagine that this was first brought in the early 90s, ridden a bit and then left in a garage, as many MTBs were at the time;so it's in good nick. It's in the CB catalogue some where on here . Made with Reynolds 501 atb tubing and bound together with lugs ! Possible the last of the lugged steel MTBs.
Farmer John tyres ( 1.9) and the original saddle. The only new part is the seat pin . Quick release was never a good idea on a town bike.
The bars in the picture are not the originals and I will put those back on. All the parts work beautifully. It's a 7 speed . The bike is a tank but nippier than you'd imagine.
Looking for £120 or offers. It's in Walthamstow.
