Can't resist when a large frameset comes up especially when it's built with a nice lugset and made even better when a ludicrously cheap offer was accepted on eBay.

Dropped it off yesterday with Paul Mullen of Coast Road Cycles for a couple of small aesthetic improvements and a repaint.

The carbon Campagnolo 10sp groupset from my Raleigh should hopefully see this gracing the climbs of Northern Ireland next year.

Thats a biggie!

Heres mine:

Snap! I think it's a 62 but a 57.5 toptube so should fit me pretty well. The lugs are pretty special I in my eyes.

Whats the ride like? Pretty tight clearances, 25s only just fit.

Hmmm... had some period Hutchinson 18s and it was a bit too much like hard work. These are pretty worn modern Vittoria that roll a whole lot better (the wheels were £20 all in from a carboot sale near Buckingham). I might take it out today.

Lugs are 'Long Shen 300 series arrowhead' and you may be pleased to know these frames were made in Brigg.

After Paul has worked his magic it will need a respray and I'm tempted to leave it blank bar some Reynolds decals.

I find the Claud Butler a little uninspiring as a brand to be honest even taking in to account it's long and prestigious history. I may put a couple of CB badges on the head and downtube if it looks too plain though.

What he said, I've left mine blank as am for too much of a snob to have CB decals despite proudly riding a British Eagle...

Mine too needs a respray so may go old english white with some traditional decals
