classic weekend at silverstone

Is he in the picture titled 'Sir Sterling Moss'?????

Looks like a grand weekend.

Alfa is same as the one I'm restoring at the moment, different to the one I have just finished. The main difference being the front end....

In reality every panel is different apart from the roof and bootlid.

The Sprints will be running 1600 and 1750 engines depending on year. The GTAs run 1300 and 1600 engines with a special twin spark head. All these engines are known as 'Nord' engines and were designed in the late 1950s. Power outputs are anything from 140 to 180 bhp which doesn't sound much by modern standards but the cars only weigh 930kg.

yeah it's not the bhp figure that matters , it's the way it uses the power , like when someone with a big turbo says " it's got 600bhp " but in reality it's a very short window of opportunity to use that figure , the rest of the time it's wheezing along .

I think Si's is a nicer shape . A few years ago I saw some Alfas at cadwell that were similar if not the same and they were brilliant .
