Classic steel

I agree that the 18" 94 pine mountain(mine) is a good frame with not bad components, I also agree that some of the raleighs were good too.
I rode a Thunderoad with reynolds 531 frame and forks and lusted after the white lightining with the 653 frame. Also rode a Moonrun after the thunderoad was stolen.
All good bikes BITD

No worries :D
TBH i'm surprised how big the list is! Some great bikes in there, its becoming more of an all time wish list!

I really rate my '91 Alpinestars Cro-mega, so can that have a mention?

My first mtb was a '99 Rockhopper, in 'Ritchey Nitanium' steel. Loved it and would always go for a steel hardtail as a result.

Easy I had the pro 825 included any others?

Not too many being questioned either, do we think they are all classics?

If folks aren't careful this is just going to turn into a list of every steel framed bike ever made. :?

Thats what I was thinking :? come on there must be some dodgy entries?

Who's brave enough to start then?

Me! the Fisher Hoo kooey looks out of place to me,as well as a few more!

i may have offended a few people, Sorry! but then again there can't be many people who have a GF are there?

Al. :D

ps. Send your hate mail to the Trek corporation for perpetuating the mythe of Gary Fisher bikes being anything more than average!

I may have done it now!
