Classic Simoncini Touring Bike – Beautiful Italian Steel, Well-Loved & Ready to Ride (£180 – Open to Offers)

For sale is my much-loved Simoncini touring cycle, bought new in 1999 and carefully looked after ever since. This is a high-quality hand-built Italian steel frame – strong, smooth, and made for comfort on longer rides or everyday commuting.

It’s a 22" frame with 21-speed gearing (traditional downtube friction levers – reliable and easy to maintain). The bike has always been stored indoors and kept in great working order.

Features & condition:

-Solid Italian steel touring frame – responsive and comfortable.

-21-speed gearing with traditional levers.

-Fairly new wheels and tyres – smooth, true and ready to go.

-Full mudguards and rear rack – perfect for touring or commuting.

-Bottle holder, reflective lights front and rear.

-Detachable toe clips (included).

-Spare spokes and tyre pump included.

-Handlebar tape and grips in excellent condition.


Everything works as it should, and the bike rides beautifully. It’s a genuine classic – simple, reliable, and built to last.

Price:

Asking £180, but open to reasonable offers – I’d love it to go to someone who appreciates a quality touring bike. Cash buyers please.

Can be collected from Hereford, or from Telford if that’s more convenient.

Don't resist too hard.
I'm advertising for my Grandpa. He has been an avid cyclist his whole life, but has just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's which has sadly made him quite wobbly now.
He is extremely keen for it to go to a really good home where it will be loved & appreciated as much as it was by himself. I believe he paid around £700 for it back in 1999 and he only buys the best, so it's a very good quality bike.

Yes, it's currently in Ledbury, Herefordshire.
I can bring it across to Telford, Shropshire if that makes it easier for anyone.
Otherwise, I could possibly get it up to Doncaster in November, if that helps anyone further up north.

Sorry to hear about your Grandad. I have a Simoncini Road bike and can confirm that they are indeed lovely frames. If only this one was an inch or two smaller....it's lovely. Best of luck with the sale.
