I believe this to be correct. But... just for clarity.
Brake studs are either canti (also known as V) -- or --- u-brake (also known as roller cam)
Is this right? And never the two shall mix right. So an old Fisher with the u-brake underneath the chain stays should only get XT u-brakes or could have roller cams installed. And a Merlin that had Vs in the rear could have those removed and a set of Pauls neo-retro canti's installed, but not a set of Suntour XC power rollers.
