Price: 250 Euro

I would say that frame is either scrap or needs a new downtube.

I suppose it depends how much someone wants one of them as to whether it is worth it.

Nice bike, but not worth it to me.

Good luck with the sale.

Top tube will also be pointing downwards.........if you stick a new downtube in then a new top-tobe will be needed, unless you "re-set" the head tube angle with the top tube.

Best of luck with that one :)

could be a nice project for someone to repair. but it should be a freecycle, its not worth the asking price with that damage.

Apologies, i can't obviously see what's wrong with the down tube? Is it the small wrinkle at the top there?

If you look closely at pics 6 and 14, you'll see the ripples on the underside of the downtube. On pic 15 you can see stress lines in the paint on the top tube. All sure signs of a heavy crash being caused by the front wheel hitting something and forcing the forks backwards. May even have a bent steerer tube. Altogether, an expensive repair if it was worth repairing.

All credit to the seller for posting photo's of the damage.

Makes me wonder, I think I've got a small wrinkle on a head tube/downtube lug in one of my frames after a crash, should I be careful do you think?

It takes a fairly considerable force to cause a wrinkle on a steel downtube. If its minor its possible to live with it, although its resale value would be significantly reduced. A bent downtube usually means bent forks, not always easy to see. You could remove the forks and put a straight edge along the steerer tube, if its bent then the headset bearings won't be seated right and you will need new forks.

You could post some pics or get it checked out.
